MOUNTAIN KAZBEK (5054M). 

Situated in the Eastern Caucasus, Kazbek is one of Georgian’s must do climbs. Graded 2B Kazbek is accessible for most fit climbers and walkers. During the trip along the Military Road you will have the opportunity to view many historical sites of interest: small town Mtkheta - the ancient capital of Georgia (until VI century), Svetithskoveli Church, the 6th century Jvary Church, Ananury Church, Jvary Pass 2395m and the small town Stephantsminda, Sameba Church 2197 m.
 

ITINERARY FOR THE ASCENT OF KAZBEK MOUNTAIN

Day 0 - Meeting with team. At 17:00 you will meet all members of the group and guides. We will Check equipment and we will have briefing connected with  mount Kabek tour. We will show you Short video about mountain Kazbek  and we will explain all tour details day by day. Also, we will answer all your questions. Day 1 - Tbilisi -Stephantsminda (1700m) – Meet at 10 am in Tbiisi  and drive to Stephnstminda. way takes about 3 hours. By the way from Tbilisi to Stephantsminda we will visite Town Mtskheta, Cathedral Church Svetitskhoveli and Fortress Ananuri. Night in guesthause in Stephanstminda.   (- / - / DINNER)

Day 2 - Stephantsminda (1700m) – "ClimbingGeorgia" BC(3650 m). Meet at 7 am in Stepantsminda center. Start at 7:30 am. Walk to "ClimbingGeorgia" BC(3650 m). Approximately 7.5 hours. (BREAKFAST / L-Box / DINNER) 

Day 3 - Acclimatisation – walk to 4000m during which time we will practice skills necessary to climb to the summit (rope work, ice axe arrest etc.) Approximately 1.5 hours.(BREAKFAST / LUNCH / DINNER)

Day 4– Summit. "ClimbingGeorgia" BC(3650 m) – Summit - "ClimbingGeorgia" BC(3650 m) (10-12 hours walk approximately). Start at 2am and walk to Plato (4500m) – 4 hours approximately. Plato to Saddle (4900m at 30 degrees). From Saddle to Summit at 40-45 degrees, use of ice axes and fixed ropes. Return to "ClimbingGeorgia" BC(3650 m). During the walk from 3900m to the summit and back to 3900m, the group will be roped due to crevasses. Night in "ClimbingGeorgia" BC(3650 m). (BREAKFAST / L-Box / DINNER)

Day 5 - Reserve day in case of bad weather. (BREAKFAST / LUNCH / DINNER)

Day 6 - Return to Stephantsminda . walking about 4 hours and than drive to Tbilisi (BREAKFAST / LUNCH / FAREWELL DINNER)

  •  Transfer Tbilisi - Stephantsminda - Tbilisi. One way is 170 km and driving time 3:30 Hour. 
  •  Transfer form Stephanstminda to Sameba Church and back
  •  One Night in Guest house in Stephantsminda (Dinner for first day and Breakfast and lunch box for seacond day is icluded)
     Price include tween or Triple Room. In case single room you should pay extra 15 Euro.
  •  4 nights in "ClimbingGeorgia" BC(3650 m)(2 person in per tent) (including breakfast, lunch an dinner)
