Mount Ararat
Mount Ararat is the only mountain above 5000 meters in Turkey. Climbing Mt Ararat is not difficult during the summer. Although Mt Ararat is 5167 meters above sea level, it is not technically challenging for those who live an active sports life, often go hiking, run regularly, etc.
No special technical training is required to climb Mt Ararat. Good physical shape and a wish to climb the mountain is enough. There are no cracks or steep walls on the way towards the peak. To climb Mount Ararat successfully, you need good acclimatization and a qualified guide.
The tour of Mount Ararat we offer is eight days and includes an acclimatization day as well as a reserve day in case of bad weather.
During the tour, there will also be an opportunity to see sights. We will visit the famous palace of “Ishak Pasha” and the church of Armenian architecture. It is noteworthy that Mt Ararat used to belong to Armenia, and it is still an essential part of the national symbolism.

Nowadays, Mount Ararat is part of Turkey. Ararat is located in the east of the country. The Turkish name for Ararat is “Agri Dagi”.

There are two main peaks in the Ararat massif. The main peak is 5167 meters high and next to it is a Little Ararat with a height of 3925 meters. The peak is volcanic, and the last activity was in 1840.
