Ski tours in Gudauri and Kazbegi
The Kazbegi district is one of the most interesting in Georgia from the ski touring perspective. Gudauri in Kazbegi area is the largest ski resort in the country. Gudauri and Kazbegi are surrounded by high mountains which allow for planning various ski tours.
A 9-day ski tour we offer starts in Gudauri. First, we will stay in the resort where we will make a few day Ski tour trips to the following mountains: Lomisa, Bidara, Dedaena, Narovani, etc.
Then we will move to the small town of Stepantsminda (Kazbegi). Mount Kazbek, famous amongst climbers, is located there. The second part of the tour will take place in this area, in the Chaukhi massif and Gergeti glacier.
This tour is incredibly interesting and beautiful for ski tour lovers.
Best time for ski tours in Kazbegi and Gudauri
The best time to ski in Kazbegi and Gudauri is February, Marchand April. The beginning and end of the season each year depend on the amount of rainfall in the early winter. However, the high altitude of 3000 m, always makes it possible to organize a tour.
