Mount Chaukhi range located on the eastern part of the Caucasus mountains near the peak Mount Kazbek region among Khevi and Khevsureti regions. Chaukhi is big rocky massive with 14 Summits. There are summits named, Tikanadze, Takaishvili, Rcheulishvili, Bursatchiri, Tsu, Pirosmani, Agmashenebeli, Vazha-Pshavela, Asatiani, Kameruni, Leonidze, Javakhishvili etc. Most of the mountain names n honour of Georgian poets, writers and artists. Sightseeing, you will meet on your way (Military road Georgia): Small town Mtskheta, the old capital of Georgia until VI century, church Svetitskhoveli; the church Jvary, built-in the century; Ananury church; Jvary pass 2395 m; Stephantsminda and mount Kazbek view; Old village Juta.

Technical difficulties of these region mountains are from easiest to most difficult. It is one of the favourite places for Georgian climbers. Also, it is one of the best places to organize climbing courses. There are about 50 different routes for climbing. The Base camp is located at 2550 meter on grassland, between 2 rivers, with beautiful views.

The best time to climb the Mount Chaukhi is from the second half of June to the end of September. We offer climbing tours for the summer, and we also provide Ski mountaineering tours in Chaukhi region from the second part of February till the end of May. We would say that Chaukhi is one of the best places for ski mountaineering with fantastic snow condition and a lot of couloirs.
